Upcoming Groovy/Grails Conferences
If you've caught the Groovy/Grails bug like I have, you may have found yourself scouring the internet looking for a good Groovy/Grails conference in your area. Denmark was lucky enough to host the GR8 Conference in May, but that is a long distance to travel for those living in the U.S. As luck will have it, there are a couple U.S. conferences on the horizon.
SpringOne2GX
SpringSource is teaming up with the No Fluff Just Stuff Symposium Series on October 19-22nd to cover the latest developments in Groovy and Grails as well as Spring. Although not 100% Groovy/Grails focused, there will be over 80 presentations, many of which I'm sure will cover Groovy and Grails in detail. For more details, visit the SpringOne2GX website.
What: SpringOne2GX
When: October 19-22nd, 2009
Where: New Orleans, USA
No Fluff Just Stuff
No Fluff is a great traveling road show covering Agile practices, Java, and JVM related technologies. The topics covered vary at each location, but one can often find the topic of Groovy and/or Grails being covered. To see where they'll be stopping next, and what topics they'll be covering, check out there website.
GR8 Conference in Minneapolis, MN USA?
This conference, being organized by the Minneapolis Groovy Users Group, is still in the very early planning stages. They are currently targeting a Fall (September or October) conference with a 100% Groovy/Grails focus. Another goal is to make it very affordable. To stay up to date on the latest happenings or to help out, take a look at their Google User Group.
Update: The GR8 Conference in Minneapolis is now targeted for March/April 2010. See Bill Turner's comment below for details.
